Chris founded Heron GP Advisory in 2026 following a 25-year career in distribution, with a strong focus on third-party capital raising across public and private markets. He has worked closely with boutique and global managers to develop capital strategies, enter new markets and build long-term relationships with institutional investors, family offices and wealth platforms.

 

Immediately prior to establishing Heron, Chris was Head of Distribution at Sydney-based OneVentures, where he led growth equity capital formation in Australia and the broader APAC region.  Before that, he headed distribution in Australia for Pacific Current Group, supporting a portfolio of specialist managers across private credit, private equity, real assets, non-correlated strategies and global equities.

 

Earlier roles with Nikko Asset Management (Amova AM) and Terrain Placement Services further strengthened his experience advising offshore managers entering the Australian market.  

 

Chris spent a decade with Goldman Sachs in London and Melbourne, primarily in credit sales and institutional asset management distribution, building deep relationships across global institutional investors.

 

He holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and serves on the Investment Committee of Cambridge Australia Scholarships.  He is a proud father of three daughters, loves the outdoors and especially its winged residents – hence Heron GP Advisory.
